Kara always knew sharing dance with others was her passion, and began teaching at her home in Langdon at the age of 14. Abstract Dance Academy was established in 1995 and eventually Kara opened the studio in Chestermere where she currently resides with her family. She is dedicated to her students and to her community.

Kara has taken dancers to perform at local events, as well as multiple trips to Disneyland in California, where they attended workshops and performed in parades within the parks.  Students at Abstract Dance Academy have won numerous awards at competitions throughout Alberta, and Kara has won Choreography awards on multiple occasions. Our wish at Abstract Dance Academy is to provide a loving, inclusive environment to inspire and encourage children to be their personal best. Kara looks forward to sharing her love of dance with returning and new students for years to come!
